Runday opens to shops at the start of summer 2027, and nobody pays anything before then.
When accounts open, every new shop gets 2 free weeks with no card needed. Add a card and the next 2 weeks are free too, so the first charge comes after four weeks. The card-free weeks are a launch offer that ends on September 1, 2027; after that date, your 2 free weeks start when you add your card. We email you three days before the first charge, with the amount, and you can cancel from the app before it.
After that, it is one monthly price for your plan, set by the size of your shop, from the barber working alone to a group of 25 locations. There is no per-barber fee, and you see the price before you pay anything.
The first 30 shops to add a card get the founding price: one third off their plan, for life, even if they change plans or cancel and come back. The spot is held when the card is added and becomes permanent after the first paid month.
Runday takes 0% of your sales and never charges your clients to book. Your card terminal (Square, Moneris or another) still charges its usual fee on card payments: that fee is theirs, not ours. Anything optional, like text messages when they arrive, stays off until you turn it on, with its price shown before you do. See the prices →
Yes. Setting up your services, your team and their pay takes a few minutes.
Your client list comes over from a file. Export a CSV from your old app and Runday brings across names, phone numbers, email addresses and notes, plus how often each person has been in and when they last came. That last part matters: it means your overdue-client alerts work from the first day instead of after a year of building the history again.
What does not come over is each individual past appointment and old sale. Your revenue reporting starts from the day you open here.
Whatever you exported from your old app stays yours. What to check before you switch →
Yes. It is built for the phone first. Owners check it from the car. Staff check their pay between clients.
Everyone gets their own percentage. One for services, a different one for products, so selling a bottle of shampoo does not pay the same as a haircut.
You can also set an amount someone has to sell before their commission starts, if that is how your shop runs.
Tips go entirely to the people who did the work, never to the shop. When two barbers share one ticket, the tip is split evenly between them, to the cent.
It all adds up the second a sale is rung in. No spreadsheet, no math on payday.
Chair rental works too: a renter pays you a weekly rent and keeps their own sales and tips, and Runday tracks what they owe and what they have paid. Their sales are shown apart from the shop’s.
Yes, and more is coming.
Runday counts each client's no-shows and shows that number beside their name when you book them or check them out, so you know whom to ask for a confirmation. A report shows your no-show rate this month, for each person on your team, and the clients who missed two or more appointments in the last 90 days.
If you turn it on, Runday emails your clients a confirmation when they book and a reminder the day before, in your shop's name. For texts, the Reminders page drafts a message for every booking tomorrow: one tap opens it in your phone's own messaging app, and you send it yourself, at no cost.
Coming: a deposit or a card on file when clients book online, kept if they do not show up. It is built, and turns on once Runday can take card payments.
No. Runday sends you no push notifications and no texts.
The only automatic email about your shop is a short summary on Monday morning: your week against the one before, each team member, and the regulars who are overdue. You can turn it off in Settings or from the email itself. Apart from that, we only email you about your account, like the reminder three days before your first charge.
No email for every booking, no daily summary you would start ignoring. If it is not worth interrupting your day, it will not.
Your clients hear from your shop only if you choose: a confirmation when they book and a reminder the day before, by email, which you turn on yourself.
Cancel anytime. There is no contract.
Your clients, appointments and staff records download in one click, free, for as long as your account is open. Delete your account and everything goes right away, we do not hold it.
We never keep your clients’ card numbers, so nothing is stuck when you leave. There are no packages or memberships in this version either.
Three things, from reading hundreds of reviews written by owners.
No fee on clients you brought in yourself. No ads shown to your clients during their appointment. Your pay and commission history does not disappear after an update.
Those were the three biggest complaints. They are the three things Runday is built to never do.
